There are many deeds one can do to gain closeness to Allāh subhanahu wa ta’ala and create a bond with him. Sūrah Muzzammil mentions different ways one can gain proximity to Allāh subhanahu wa ta’ala; such as doing tasbīh, dhikr and reciting Qur’ān especially during the night prayer, Tahajjud. Tahajjud time is such a blessed and sacred portion of the night where the acceptance of one’s ibādah and du’ā is guaranteed.

Sayyidunā Abū Hurairah radhiyallahu anhu narrates that the Messenger of Allāh sallallahu alayhi wasallam said: “Our Lord descends each night to the earth’s sky when there remains the final third of the night. He says, ‘Who is saying a prayer to Me so that I may answer it, who is asking something of Me so that I may give it to him, who is asking for forgiveness so that I may forgive him.’” (Bukhārī)
